Someone feel free to prove otherwise, and explain how you connected the 2 wires to the 4 terminal plug and retained the OEM ballast. My whole point is that the stock ballast cannot be used with any other HID bulbs. This means I have to use an aftermarket ballast. The only way I can wire it up is directly into the headlight plug (on vehicle, not on stock balast). ![]() Now, I tested all four terminals in virtually every combination possible, while trying to wire up the H11's 2 wires, and I got absolutely nothing. One of them disappears inside the ballast, because only 3 come out in wire form to the D2S plug. Now, even if you cut the bulb input off and splice the wires to your H11 bulbs, how do you know which one to connect? Here's an interesting thing The plug for the stock HID ballast has 4 terminals (where it plugs into the cars' headlamp plug). However, here's the problem: the stock ballast has 3 wires running from it to the input for the stock D2S bulb. There is no argument that the bulbs are not interchangeable. I would like to install new Halogen headlamps. You can use "tap-in connectors" if you don't want to mangle your OEM wires. This statement is either incorrect or it's missing info. You simply splice into the pos/neg wires for your low beam into an H11 HID kit because those are the only bulbs that will plug into the halogen housing without modification. I sold a set of halogen-style headlights to a guy who owns a Maxima that came with stock HIDs. ![]()
