The couple also appear to have created adult content so be a bit careful with your web search. Whilst these videos may not appeal to more traditional off gridders they could be a useful resource to newbies, particularly younger people who enjoy engaging with social media. From travel vloggers to homestead channels jake and Nicole have a very interesting story.Hello guys, Welcome back to our channel.Today were going to talk ab. They will also show you how to add luxuries like a hot tub. These feature other projects such as building a smoke house, pregnancy off grid, cooking, cultivating crops, wood fired oven, shower, batteries and much more. The couple have become YouTube celebrities with their off grid adventures and projects which are a useful source of information for fellow off gridders. Then with the imminent arrival of a child the couple decided to construct a cabin to add to the Yurt and increase their living space. Yurt placement and height above the ground are major decisions that impact off-the-grid living. Watch them clear the land and prepare their site before assembling their new Pacific Yurt platform. I’ll be posting all my videos here you can browse and order. This is also a great page for the Video Store. Inside, is a more personal and intimate look of what it's really like as a girl living alone Off-Grid in the forest. They also set about creating a garden and fruit orchard so they could cultivate their own food. Jake and Nicole found the perfect location for off-the-grid yurt living among the coniferous forests of British Columbia. Welcome to my Loyal Fans Page I will be posting EXCLUSIVE Photos and Videos for my Loyal Fans members. Once the Yurt was finished, they then set about using clean energy sources such as wind and solar to provide electricity. This was the start of Jake and Nicole Off Grid Living adventure. After a few rounds of measuring and trial-and-error measurements, they decided on the height of the yurt. Finally, the side walls were added, and the dome roof moved into position. They then erected the lattice framework, windows, and insulation. Jake and Nicole chose the perfect height and location for their Pacific Yurt in British Columbia, and then finished assembling the platform. The height and placement of the yurt will greatly affect the quality of off-grid living. To make the interiors comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, the occupants must install the lattice walling.Īfter clearing the land, Jake and Nicole began putting their off-grid yurt together. The yurt platforms, for example, are shaped in perfect circles. During their off-grid adventure, they faced challenges and obstacles while building the yurt in Canada’s backcountry. In the first episode, Jake and Nicole introduced us to their off-grid life in a yurt, a small, self-contained structure that is built by following a detailed plan. Because the atoms carry the mass, and because the atoms are conserved, the mass is conserved.ĭalton’s Atomic Theory can also be used to explain the Law of Definite Proportions. In Dalton's view, chemical reactions involve a rearrangement of the atoms, but the atoms themselves are conserved. Compounds are composed of combinations of atoms of two or more elements with the atoms combining in a specific ratio with respect to the number of atoms of each element.ĭalton’s Atomic Theory can be used to explain the Law of Conservation of Mass. Chemical reactions involve the separation and combination of atoms, but the atoms themselves are never created, destroyed, or even changed.Ĥ. (It was later found that isotopes of the same element can have atoms with different masses.)ģ. Atoms of the same element have the same mass, and atoms of different elements have different masses. Elements are composed of tiny, indivisible particles of matter called atoms.Ģ. With help from other scientists, in the early 19th century, John Dalton developed a theory that can be used to explain the Law of Conservation of Mass and the Law of Definite Proportions. The importance of these laws for us is that they provided 19th and 20th century scientists with the challenge of how to explain them. (The modern version qualifies this a bit.) The second scientific law that concerns us is the Law of Definite Proportions (or Constant Composition) that states that a specific compound always contains the same elements in the same definite proportions by mass. The first scientific law that affected the development of atomic theory is the Law of Conservation of Mass (or Matter) that states that matter and thus mass are neither created nor destroyed in the process of normal chemical reactions. One way to distinguish between scientific laws and scientific theories is that scientific laws describe what happens, and scientific theories explain why things happen. Scientific Laws are general statements about nature that are based on repeated experiments or observations. Our story starts with two of the scientific laws suggested in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The purpose of this webpage is supplement what I did in the text by describing this history. When I was writing my text, I decided that I wanted to devote more time and space to describing the modern model of the atom instead of including the traditional description of the historical development of atomic theory. Even is you could, it would use a lot more Ferrous Sulphate and it is easy to brush on afterward. I do not know of anyone adding it within the mix. Should we mix this in with the finish (color) coat, or try to "paint" on a solution afterwards? We're using a cement-based plaster for the exterior.Ī : As far as I know you can only apply the ferrous sulphate to the stucco when it is "green". We'd like to use ferrous sulfate to stain/color the exterior. Q: We're soon plastering our strawbale home in North Dakota. Is this an earthen floor skim coat or a wall plaster skim coat? I do test for both, but I tend to make my test samples for earthen floors as big as possible. I let these dry, then I assess for cracks, shrinkage, dusting, water resistance etc. I make these tests the thickness that I want to apply the plaster (and then a little thicker just in case). I make test samples of each recipe (about 2'x2'). Then I run a series of tests (documenting the recipes well). I assess the situation, decide how thick the plaster needs to be and what conditions it needs to remain stable under. My recipes will also vary depending upon where the mix is applied (interior/exterior) and what it is covering up (sheetrock, straw bales, etc.,). Therefore, I cannot tell you a recipe since I have not worked with your clay. Since every clay has different characteristics I always test (unless I am using pulverized ceramic clay that I am familiar with). I am wondering if you have any specific recommended mixes.Ī: When I make plaster recipes, I do tests. Q: We have to do a skim coat and the best mix to apply is my concern. The 5 GHz network from the same router shows the RSSI as -68 and Noise as -92. If I look at the Wi-Fi Scan tab on the MBP the RSSI for the 2.4 GHz network is -57 and the Noise is -92. The channel is 11 (and this is on the 2.4 GHz network-I can also connect to the 5 GHz network on the Air but still not on the MBP).įor the MPB it doesn't show anything under RSSI or Noise because it won't connect, but I did have the Wireless Diagnostics open when I was trying to connect to it and every time it failed to connect it would say something to the effect of "network dropped." On the Air, which connects to the network just fine, the RSSI is -65 dBm and the Noise is -88 dBm. Since I'm using two different computers here (the Air that does connect and the MBP that doesn't) I suppose I have two sets of answers. Also, if I should have posted this elsewhere then my apologies, I just figured since it's so Mac-focused this would be the place to ask. Nothing's changed in the configuration of the network, but now it won't connect to pretty much anything.Īny help or suggestions of other things to try/do would be hugely appreciated. What I really can't figure out is why this would happen so suddenly when it worked so well for so long. Has this happened to anyone else? The MacBook Pro is running 10.9.5 if that's any help. plist files (.plist as well as one or two others that I can't recall at the moment) and restarted the MacBook Pro but nothing's made a bit of difference and I'm running out of ideas here. The Airport Extreme is running firmware 7.6.4, which I just updated it to in the hopes that maybe the new firmware would fix the problem, but it hasn't. It's getting very frustrating because I need to have wifi access for work purposes. I've reboot the Mac and the router but nothing's made a difference. The MacBook Pro that I have sees the network but keeps telling me it's unable to connect, even though I know I'm using the right password and it has been able to connect to this network in the past. It started when I couldn't get an iPad to connect to the network and now I can only get one Mac (a late-2010 MacBook Air) and one phone (a Nexus 6) to connect to the wireless network. I have had the same network running for a very long time (same password, same hardware, etc), at least a year or more, and have never had this problem. I think I'm posting this in the right forum (as opposed to the networking forum) because it's all involving Macs and iPads and an Airport Express. I'm writing today to ask for your forgiveness for my mistake. I did however make sure to pay July 21, 2019, but I still was shown as a missed payment on all three credit bureaus. In the mist of moving I believe I forgot to pay on my due date. But, in July 2019 I had a missed payment. It's really been a privilege to be able to do business with your company and I would like for it to continue and for me to continue to prove my value to you as a customer. "Hello, my name is X X I'm writing you today because I am a customer of your Victoria's Secret store card. I also provided a screenshot showing I havent missed any other payments. Here is what I wrote for my GW letter, it's simple and to the point. Thank you for being a valued card member. You will receive a decision from us, the same way your request was received. Once we have received your request, by one of these methods, a member of our Credit Bureau Disputes team will review your request and the account. I have included the mailing address and the website needed to submit your request. You will need to log into your online accounts to access the SMC tool. Your request would need to be received either by mail or via our Secure Messaging Center. I just called and the lady was able to remove the missed payments and is mailing me a letter stating it has been updated from deliquent to no missed payments. So, I followed up and the auto responder said to call in. I was told I'd get a response within 2 business days, I received a response the next day, but it stated they'd forward the message and I'd get a response in another 2 business days, and I never did. I sent a message on FB, they stated I could mail in a response or used the secure message system online, so I sent it throught the secured portal. It's from July 2019 30 days, I missed June's payment then paid the end of July. Otherwise, not so much.I have one missed payment on my report and my score took a major hit. The Bottom Line: If you spend lots of money at Victoria’s Secret, the Victoria’s Secret credit card is probably a pretty good card to have. The Shopping Cart Trick Factor: Since this is a Comenity retail card, you should be able to take advantage of the shopping cart trick to get it without a hard pull. It looks like there are other triple point promotions as well, and the fine print on that one says, “Triple points offer cannot be combined with additional bonus reward point promotions.”Īnnual Gifts: Certain retail cards give you a bonus every year on your birthday. Does that get multiplied with the triple points bonus and bring the rewards to 24/36%? And does Victoria’s secret sell prepaid Visa gift cards? I don’t know, though I’m pretty sure the answer to the second question is “No.” AND you also get double points on all bra purchases. That works out to a rate of 4% or 6% in the highest tier.īut wait, there’s more: during your cardmember anniversary month, you get triple points! So that boosts this card to 12%/18%. For the Angel Forever card ($1,000 spent) you get $15 for every $250 spent. For both the Angel Card and the Angel VIP card (which you get by reaching $500 in spend), you get $10 for every $250 spent. Rewards: The Victoria’s Secret credit card offers different tiers based on your spending on it. $15 is less than the $500 rewards that major credit card issuers frequently offer for their products, so the pink credit card is not a winner on this count. Sign-up bonus: The Victoria’s Secret credit card gives you $15 off your next purchase. And by “a lot of readers” I mean “ Elaine in the comments last week.” So here you go, Elaine! Let’s take a look at the features, and please keep in mind that this is a store card valid only at Victoria’s Secret, not a Visa/MasterCard/Amex.
